Hello, and welcome to Short Arts, Sandra's short stories about life, art and everything. It's a busy time of year, so I'm going to make this short and sweet...
Merry Christmas and a very happy 2009
Oh, and here's an image of one of this year's Christmas cards, Sycamore Gap, Hadrian's Wall. Hope you like it!
I have just discovered how sad I sound!! Gardening as an interest, when did that happen?!!! Anyhow, at present I am married to Frank with two children, Emma 16 and Joe 12. I am self-employed and run several art classes whilst painting and selling my own work. I enjoy working in watercolour, gouache and acrylics and I drive my family mad by taking photographic reference wherever we go,they have tried to lose and/or disown me, but have yet to succeed! I enjoy painting all sorts, from landscapes to architecture and my first love, flora. You can view my online gallery at sandrataylorart.wordpress.com/.The people I teach range from beginners to more advanced, from learning needs to physically disabled. I hope that I not only offer a learning opportunity but also social and therapeutic benefits. I support Newcastle United and Newcastle Falcons, however I have had the good grace to teach some of 'Mackem' pals (Sunderland supporters and the local rival team)....don't tell but the banter is quite good! My aims for 2009 are to expand my classes and the outlet for my artwork and to grow some more vegetables in the cold frame that Frank bought me..who said romance is dead!!
